- Yes, it's true I need a Kidney Transplant. We just found out about 10 days ago. On my next visit to the Nephrologist, May 19th, I will be referred to the Transplant Clinic at Intermountain Medical Center and be assigned my own "Transplant Coordinator." My coordinator will give me a toll-free number that interested relatives and friends may call and talk about being tested as a potential donor. I will post that number when I recieve it for anyone interested.
This is a very insightful web site and can answer almost all your questions. We will be adding more links as soon as we meet with the Transplant Coordinator. I know a lot of family and friends have asked about being tested and we want to answer all your questions as soon as possible. We will be posing information on this website AND emailing everyone who asked about being tested as soon as we can. Just so you know, in case you read or talk to others who have had transplants, I am an A+.
